Over 600,000 people from around
the world have contributed to
the Frauenkirche to date;
Of the DM 250 million ($ 115
million) needed to complete the
Frauenkirche:
< DM 195 million ($ 97.5
million) has been
raised; of that DM 135 million
from private sources
< DM 55 million ($ 26 million)
is still needed.
Completion is expected in 2005,
a full year earlier than
originally planned
Since its inception Friends of
Dresden has raised
approximately $ 3,600,000
(including the office in
Columbus) for projects in
Dresden like The Frauenkirche,
The Synagogue and other
educational projects.

Second Annual Friends of
Dresden
Palm Beach, FL Meeting
The Palm Beach Chapter of
Friends of Dresden held its
second annual meeting on March
29th.
Professor Henry A. Landsberger,
grandson of the last Semper-
Synagogue’s Rabbi, was the
featured speaker.
He showed a 20-minute video on
the history of Dresden’s famous
Semper-Synagogue and its Jewish
community.
