NEW WEB SITE

The Board of Trustees is
delighted to invite you to
log on to our new web
site. Click on www.
friendsofdresden.org. It
is ready for your
participation and
comments! Thanks to the
hard work of Board Member
Betsy Bush, Tradenet (the
company that designed and
constructed the site) and
Board input, the site has
been expanded to include
information about the many
projects of our American
Friends Group. We would
like to acknowledge the
generosity of the Dresdner
Bank who hosted the
original Web Site. The
use of their server and
technical support has
proved to be invaluable.
They provided all of us a
service that was priceless
and timely!

Turning to our new site--
not only will you be able
to learn about the status
of projects, but also,
give us the opportunity to
hear from you. We are
especially proud of the
new photo gallery section
which is updated everytime
we receive new
photographs. In fact, we
welcome your additions
which should be e-mailed
to
blobel@rockvax.rockefeller.
edu. We will decide if
the photo or photos would
be of general interest.

Occasionally, Friends has
merchandise that reflects
the projects. When we
have watches, scarves, T-
shirts etc. we will put a
notice on our shop page.

We have a guest book which

allows new browser to ask
for additional information
about Friends and be
placed on the mailing
list. The site has a news
page, separate from the
Newsletter which will
allow Friends to let our
constituents know of up-
coming events. We will
inform you of regional
events, media events and
events

The Newsletter will be
placed on the Web site.
We have found that this
modest publication is in
demand. We will offer the
option to our donors that
they can access the
Newsletter on-line rather
than receive it in the
mail. However, we will
continue to mail the
Newsletter to those who
would prefer to receive a
hard copy.

Finally, the site has many
interesting links,
national and international
which should prove to be
of interest and assistance
to all those who care
about Dresden.

New Board Member

We welcome Mary Libby as
the newest Member of the
Board of Trustees. Mrs.
Libby is a Vice-President
of Christie’s
International. With a
business background honed
at Harvard, Mrs. Libby is
well known in the Art and
Philanthropic worlds. She
is respected for her
taste, commitment to her
work and projects and her
friends. She is a genuine
and delightful person who
many of us have admired
for a long time.
