MailMax Administrator

The MailMax mail administrator lets you manage your email
POP3/IMAP accounts, forwarding, aliases and autoresponders.

Log into the MailMax administrator by going to:
 E-Mail administrator
Email Address: postmaster@yourdomain.com
Password: password (enter the word password)
DO NOT CHECK System Admin
Click Submit

To add and manage POP/IMAP accounts scroll down, highlight
your domain and click show details. In the middle of the next
page click Add MailBox. You may only have one unique mailbox
name per domain name.

Aliases: If you would like a single mailbox to receive
email for multiple addresses for that domain you can add
an unlimited number of addresses to each mailbox. Click manage
aliases to add email addresses you wish to receive mail for. Once
you add an alias to a mailbox that email address can not be used
again in the mail system.
ALIASES ARE ENTERED IN THE FORM: address

Forwarding: If you would like to forward an address or group
of addresses to other mailboxes you will need to setup forwarding.
Create a mailbox with the desired account name. You can also
add aliases to this mailbox so you can forward mail for multiple
addresses to any number of mailboxes or offsite email accounts
such as your Aol or Yahoo account. Uncheck the store mail selection
if you do not intend to check this account using a mail client.
Check the Allow Forwarding box, click Manage Forwards and enter
the address(es) you wish to forward to.

FORWARDING ADDRESSES ARE ENTERED IN THE FORM: address@domain.com

IMPORTANT! When forwarding mail, uncheck the
store mail check box associated with that account unless you plan to check
it with your email client as well. If you do not your email will continue
to reside on the server even though it has been forwarded.

"Catchrest" Account: You can add an Alias named: catchrest
to receieve all email for that domain not claimed by other accounts.
You can also create a separate POP account called catchrest to
receieve all unclaimed email.
To forward all unclaimed email to more than one address create an
account named catchrest and enable forwarding to those addresses.
Do not use quotes when adding the name catchrest. The name may be
only added once as any other account name.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU FORWARD THE POSTMASTER ACCOUNT
TO PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR MAIL ADMINISTRATION

Autoresponders: To setup an autoresponder check Allow Responder
then click Responder Setup. You will be able to set the Subject
and type in a message of up to 255 characters for your auto
response.

IMPORTANT! When you check email using the webmail system, only email in your inbox will be available for download using the POP3 protocol to your local mail client. Once you download and delete mail off of the server your inbox email will no longer be available via webmail. Webmail uses the IMAP protocol and stores email using the IMAP folder system on the mail server. To handle this you can do one of two things. 1) Change your email client to use the IMAP protocol. This will allow you to synchronize your email and folders between webmail and and unlimited number of mail clients. You have the option of synchronizing only certain folders in your mail client. For instance - you may want to leave messages in your Inbox when checking webmail, then in your mail client (Outlook or eq.) sychronize just your Inbox. You can then drag new messages from your Inbox to your non-synchronized folders for security. This will delete mail from the server. 2) Alternatively you can leave your email client set to retrieve mail via the POP3 protocol and download only new messages received by your account to your mail client. All email and folders residing in your webmail will remain in tact but not accessable by your POP3 mail client. ======================================================================
